Great deal all around October 15, 2008 James G. Cheek (North Carolina) For the price, this was a very slightly looking used saw...maybe once or twice. Other than a few scrapes (very small) I would have thought it brand new. Packed nicely with all instructions. I have used it a bit and it seems to work really nicely. I would defintely buy again.
Work like a charm October 14, 2008 N. Sicard (Boston, ma) I LOVE IT. Cuts wood like butter. Great for cutting pieces of wood around the house. Easy to use and the handling is great. Not too loud.
Nice saw for the money August 2, 2008 Risk Adjusted Return (Detroit, MI) If you're a home handyman or light construction pro, you'll like this saw. No, it doesn't perform like the $300 DeWalt, but it doesn't cost that either. The comments about checking the blade alignment (in both planes) were correct. The saw as delivered was alittle off in both, but pretty easy to align and lock in. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was that I think it should come aligned as a factory reconditioned unit. Other than that, it looks 100% brand new. It cuts well & I'm pleased. BTW, save the $24 shipping and wait 3-4 more days with "super saver" shipping. Also, if you want the laser light guide, Amazon has got those to add-on to this saw. Pardon me, but I've got some molding to finish. :)
Ryobi - can't live without it! July 31, 2008 Petro Neil I started to redo my one room and figured that I would do something nice such as add wainescoting and some chair rail. This miter saw came in so very handy. For anyone who is still using a miter box and saw - get into the 21st century my friends and pick up a power saw such as the Ryobi. it made my life so much easier!
A good saw for the money. July 30, 2008 E. Stidd (Indiana, USA) I purchased this saw for installing quarter round trim in some difficult places in my bathroom. I found that the angles were true and the cuts were nice and smooth making my trim project turn out beautifully. The only criticism I have is that the clamp for holding the wood you are about to cut isn't all that stable. It's a bit sloppy so you have to be careful to make sure the wood ends up clamped where you wanted it. Overall, a good bang for my buck. I am well pleased.
