Very nice and functional November 16, 2008 Nikki (USA) I really like this screwdriver set for the money, it's a good household screwdriver set for my toolbox for household repairs. It is probably good for more too but that is what I have it for.
Stanley Ratchet Screwdriver Very Handy July 29, 2008 John E. Dennis (New York City) Stanley 68-010 10-Inch Multi-bit Screwdriver I first encounterd this screwdriver while shopping for tools to use fixing up my wife's home in London. I liked it so much I brought it home with me and found it handy and very comfortable to use here on the job in America. The triangular section handle is very comfortable. The bit magazine is a little difficult to operate but it loosens up with age. Out of curiosity I kept my eyes open for this tool here, in the USA, for quite a while but none seemed available until relatively recently. When I misplaced the tool, having grown attached to it, I paniced but fortunately found a replacement at Amazon. Later the misplaced screwdriver turned up and now I am pleased to own two of these versatile and practical tools.
Nice multi-headed screwdriver July 9, 2008 E. Bass (Berwyn, IL USA) This is a nice product. It's probably not meant for heavy work, but for around the home and general work, it's very, very nice. When I bought it, I thought there was going to be storage for all the bits inside the handle, but that's not the case. There's a yellow plastic holder that's meant for hanging the screwdriver on the wall (or wherever), and the 3-4 bits that don't fit inside the handle near the base the metal fit in it. It feels like it's made from high-quality materials and has high-quality workmanship. A nice bargain.
Household necessity June 21, 2008 C. S. Jennings (Austin, TX United States) After my toolbox was stolen I went on a hunt to find one of these again, only to find the big box stores don't carry it. It is an indispensable tool. I bought two. One lives in the toolbox, the other in a draw in the house for quick fixes. If you don't have one, you should.
Heavy duty driver, but poorly designed. June 9, 2008 S. Diamond (Oak Park, IL United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Stanley Tools labels this Contractor Grade, and it certainly is quite hefty in weight and feels heavy duty. But I found this to be an unpleasant tool to use. This is due to its long length and the large unbalanced, bulky handle, which is covered with a rough feeling rubber. Holding this tool is awkward and using it uncomfortable.
The tool comes with 10 screwdriver bits, six of which are in the handle. Turning the driver knob to access the bits requires some effort. Also, the bits do not easily pop out. I had to use a pair of needlepoint pliers to pull out the bits. The driver is made in Taiwan.
