Why did I wait? February 23, 2008 Roger A. Newman (Near Chicago) After buying any number of "pro" quality stones, sticks, machines and gadgets, I should have saved my time and money and bought this to begin with, Id have saved a mint. With two sides I can do just about all I need without fear of burning, unless I want a polished edge.
DMT 10" DuoSharp Bench Stone February 15, 2008 Yuri Chatal Great product;much better than the original DMT Bench Stones. The extra width really helps when sharpening plane irons.
DMT diamond sharpener October 1, 2007 Robert Doyle (Leitrim, Ireland) Fantastic product. Beats sharpening stones hands down. I will purchase the extra fine/extra coarse stone soon. Would definitely buy the base to go with the stone. Its about 4" wide which makes it useful for plane blades.
A Must Have for Block Planes and Chisels January 21, 2007 D. C. Schremser (Kitsap County, WA USA) Excellent product for honing a perfect edge for those hand tools. Get a coarse, fine and extra fine stone to dress those tools to perfection.
A good diamond sharpener August 13, 2006 Mike Sealander (Brooklin, ME) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Other than what seems a steep $100 price, diamonds are the way to go for sharpening chisels. The large size is really nice. The two grits are good for general chisel sharpening.
