Look no Further July 7, 2008 John E. Mueller (Carmel Valley, CA) If you are considering installing a dust collection system or adding to an existing system, look no further. PSI Woodworking's 4" clear flexible hose is what you want. This hose is very durable for its size and weight. Clear dust collection hose is a must, in my opinion. Not only are potential "hot spot's" visible, but the clear hose is nearly invisible. The final motivation for purchasing all your dust collection needs from amazon.com is the ease of ordering and usually free delivery. The final cost of this clear 4" hose was the primary reason for trying this product. It's more than half the cost of the competition, and with my experience I wouldn't hesitate giving it a five star rating.
Ruggedness a question April 9, 2007 Robin K 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I thought this clear hose was like that sold a Rockler but much less expensive. The PSI version is a much thinner PVC material and as such I have to think its going to be very prone to tears and punctures especially in a woodworking shop when it constantly pulled around.
On the + side it does have a wire embedded as the spiral forming structure. And it collapses into a very small profile (due to its more delicate design). A 16' section will compress end to end to 18".
I am using it as a vacumm hose to reach around the shop when connected to the dust collector. Again its flexibility and small storage is nice, but even a short time of use Im beginning to see the beginnings of stress tears in the folds.
If it holds after a couple months of use, Ill update my rating to 5 stars.

I recieved my order on schedule. Imagine handling a fifty foot slinky. The box had more tape on it than cardboard. Thank goodness the hose is high quality. NO damage. Thanks Amazon.
